1. BOLD NEW APPROACH TO CHIEF COUNCIL

Establish immediately the core functions of government, finalize mandate and strategize plan, remove politics from administration decision making, and implement.

2. REMOVAL OF HONORARIA PAYMENT SYSTEM

Establish accountable and responsible method of payment of Chief & Council – it’s your community resources after all.

3. CONSIENTIOUS PURSUIT OF SELF-GOVERNMENT

Create and implement policy and regulations governing the roles and responsibilities of Chief & Council – make our own laws for governing.

4. RE-ASSESSMENT OF TREATY NEGOTIATIONS

Determine whether our present Treaty Negotiation strategy is in our Nations best interests.

5. IMPROVED CONSULTATION WITH OFF-RESERVE MEMBERS

Treat all Members equally, and actively engage Members on important and ongoing issues of Band governance, policy directions, and community events.

6. NATION BUILDING

We must aggressively pursue and build a strong, capable, vibrant First Nation; where our own people govern, have great jobs and houses, live in healthy and safe communities, and where our culture and heritage thrives.
